AHA Peeling

AHA peels rejuvenate the skin by enhancing exfoliation. This exfoliation allows for dead skin cells to be loosened and removed to prevent buildup that causes skin to appear dull while also evening out skin pigmentation, tone, enhancing collagen production, and helping to reverse the signs of aging. In addition to a more radiant, youthful appearance, AHAs also shrink [the appearance of] pores and have the ability to reduce acne."
AHAs are naturally occurring acids that have exfoliating properties that enhance the natural process of exfoliation in the skin. Some examples include malic acids from apples, lactic acid from milk, and glycolic acid from sugar cane.
The AHA peel is highly effective, they're also very gentle and there are few limitations. However the skin may be slightly more sensitive to the sun, so it's important to apply SPF following a peel. AHAs should not be used on inflamed skin, rashes, or infected skin.
